Lighten Up Dressage is based in Huntersville, NC and was established as an opportunity for all local riders to enjoy the sport of dressage in a more casual environment, to show without the expenses of a recognized dressage show and/or practice for their next recognized dressage show.2012 Show Dates:

2011 Update
The 2011 show year has come to an end. I want to thank all the riders for supporting the shows this year. I especially want to thank Tracy Walling for her generosity, she is once again the Year End High Point sponsor. I’m already working in the 2012 show year. It takes a lot of planning. Be sure to read through the rules on the Horse Show Page to see what changes I have made. There will be changes regarding the Year End and High Point awards.
On a personal note I crossed two things off my “bucket list” this year. I rode Prix St. Georges and earned my USDF Silver Medal. I was told several times that my horse “Dillon” would not go above First MAYBE Second Level in Dressage. Never let anyone squash your dreams. Sometime hard work, proper training and a good horse are good enough. My young horse, “Mick” is five this year and seems to have finished top 20 in the USDF Awards at Adult Amateur First Level. Another big thrill for me. I hope things continue to move forward for the boys and I. I hope everyone has a great winter and I’m looking forward to seeing you all in 2012.
