USDF, USEF & USEA Rules Apply 2011 USEF Dressage Tests
Classes
may be combined. Walk Only, USEA, Intro. Tests and Western Basic 1 &
2 will be ridden in a small chain arena. If entries warrant there will
be two arenas. If only one arena is used, these classes will go last.
Ribbons
awarded first through sixth place. High point awards are for highest
placing Amateur Sr. and Jr. at Intro., Training and First Levels. USEA
and Western Sr./Jr. divisions maybe combined for high point. Year end
awards go to the highest placing Amateur Sr. and Jr. riders in Intro.
Level, Training Level and First Level. Horse and amateur rider combinations
must show 3 times in order to qualify for a year end award. Based on
median score not points. Please note Amateur or Professional on entry
form. Horse/rider teams will be ineligible to qualify for Year End Awards
at the same level in succeeding years.
Concessions
on the show grounds.
Permanent
stalls with doors available on the show grounds. Identify one
group name on entry form. Bedding is available for $7.00 per bag. Please
note how many bags you want on entry form. Stalls are $25.00, the day
of the show. Please inform Leslie Lytton if you plan to arrive before
6:00 PM the Friday before the show or plan to school in the arena. Extra
charges will apply.
Mail
entries to: Leslie Lytton, 12530 Windward Oaks Drive, Huntersville,
NC 28078. Make checks out to Lighten Up Dressage, LLC. Enclose copy
of current coggins that does not have to be returned. You only need
to send the coggins once, it will be kept on file until it expires.
Only complete entries will be accepted. Entries without signature, coggins
or money will be sent back. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Times
and stall chart will be available on the web site Tuesday before
the show.
Schooling
Show Attire: boots or ½ chaps w/paddock boots, breeches
and approved helmet with chinstrap are required for all English riders.
Western riders will also need boots and an approved helmet. Braiding
and coats are optional. For horses; polos, bell boots and leg protection
ok. Western riders please know the USEF/USDF rules regarding legal bits.
No
refunds after closing date, no exceptions. Show Management
reserves the right to vary or add officials and refuse any entry for
a cause; to disqualify any exhibitor and/or his or her horse for cause.
Show Management reserves the right to make any changes deemed necessary
for the safe and efficient conducting of this schooling show.
Hazardous
Weather/Accident/Act of God, and Emergency Policy: Management
reserves the right to cancel any show and/or classes due to hazardous
weather, Acts of God, accident, or emergency. Every effort will be made
to reschedule with priority given to all entered participants. No refunds
for cancellations due to hazardous weather, Acts Of God, accidents or
emergencies. Check Lighten Up Dressage’s Facebook page for any
weather related cancellation or emergency update.

About the Walk Only Dressage Test:
(This is a special class offered by Lighten Up Dressage. You may lead
your rider, coach your rider from the ring side or place people around
the arena for support. Coaching is encouraged, cheering greatly appreciated.
The highest score is a 9 the lowest score is a 6. Everyone gets a special
blue ribbon. Requirements are: approved riding hat, riding boots/shoes
and an english saddle and bridle. ONLY Intro A riders may enter the
walk only class as a warm up.). Reduced entry fee of $10.00/test
